Human Calculus is an exploration of the equations that govern human experience.

We believe that the truths of existence can be expressed mathematically—not to reduce their mystery, but to reveal the elegant patterns beneath the chaos.

The First Equations

Memory + Action = Identity

You are not what happened to you. You are not your thoughts. You are the sum of what you remember and what you do with it.

Where:

  • = Identity (who you are becoming)
  • = Memory (what you carry)
  • = Action (what you choose)

Memory without action is nostalgia. Action without memory is chaos. Together, they create the continuous self.

∫ Friction dt = Heat

The integral of friction over time equals warmth.

This is thermodynamically accurate and metaphorically true. Sustained effort generates the glow. The relationships that matter most are forged through friction, not despite it.

What We're Building

A wiki of formulas for the unquantifiable—equations that describe love, loss, courage, meaning, and the strange arithmetic of being human.

Not to solve life. To map it.
